WASHINGTON, DC (8 November 2023)-On 29 September 2023, Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division (NSWC Crane) with The Department of Defense’s Office of Industrial Base Policy as the sponsor, through its Manufacturing Capability Expansion and Investment Prioritization (MCEIP) office, awarded JRC to support its Enterprise Parts Management System (EPMS) project.    The prototype project was awarded through the Strategic and Spectrum Missions Advanced Resilient Trusted Systems (S²MARTS) Other Transaction Agreement (OTA).   The OTA is a vehicle used by the Department of Defense focused on prototyping new technologies. The S2MARTS contracting process is managed by the National Security Technology Accelerator (NSTXL) consortium.

JRC will support the execution of the EPMS project contributing agile industrial capacities to enhance the production and management of microelectronic parts.  JRC is honored to be supporting Military Service and defense program offices across the DoD through the advancement of the EPMS tool.

The Enterprise Parts Management System (EPMS) is a cloud-based enterprise-wide microelectronics parts management tool intended to enable parts management at program office levels across DoD throughout the entire parts lifecycle.  EPMS will give DoD the ability to aggregate information on parts used in DoD systems and manage those parts at the enterprise level. (U.S. DoD, 2023)

“The EPMS project is vital to safeguarding our strategic deterrence mission, invigorating warfighter safety as we progress resilience of the defense microelectronics industrial base.  JRC is committed to developing the technologies required to support the needs of our next generation warfighter.  It is through engineering innovation and increased agile capability that we will effectively pioneer the tools needed to increase credibility while reducing cost” (JRC President and COO).

As a trusted provider to the DoD and its strategic deterrence mission, JRC reveres supporting the MCEIP office in producing and managing microelectronics parts.  JRC is highly attuned to the importance of growing a strong microelectronics defense industrial base, as it supports some of our nation’s most important national security goals, facilitating the dissemination of risk information such as counterfeit parts and software vulnerabilities.
