JRC is proud to announce the promotion of Darrin Shaw to Senior Manager of the Shipyard and Crane Operations Section within the Systems Engineering & Integration (SE&I) Division.
Darrin will provide leadership, oversight, and operational direction for multiple teams supporting key Navy customers across several JRC locations, including Washington, D.C., Groton, Connecticut, Norfolk, Virginia, Kings Bay, Georgia, Crane, Indiana, and Cape Canaveral, Florida. His responsibilities reflect both the scale of the work his teams support and the trust he has earned as a leader within JRC and among our government partners.
Since joining JRC, Darrin has made a lasting impact across multiple programs. Under his leadership, his teams have advanced critical Shipyard Installation Test procedures and managed complex operations with exceptional consistency and professionalism.
Darrin’s ability to build trusted relationships with government customers has been instrumental to JRC’s continued success. His leadership played a key role in securing and executing major sole-source efforts, as well as guiding specialized teams through highly complex submarine program requirements. His steady approach, technical understanding, and commitment to mission execution have made him a trusted leader within both JRC and our customer community.
Beyond his technical and operational expertise, Darrin is known for his people-first leadership style. He consistently emphasizes teamwork, care for the individual, and dedication to the mission and values that align closely with JRC’s core principles of Family, Excellence, and Integrity. As he approaches 15 years with the company, Darrin remains as committed and energized as when he first began, crediting the strength of his teams and the culture of collaboration that defines JRC.
When interviewed about his promotion, Darrin shared,

Darrin is especially passionate about leading with care and intention, a philosophy that closely mirrors JRC’s culture. While Darrin credits JRC’s culture as a key reason for his long tenure, he is quick to point to his teams as what motivates him most.
“What truly gets me excited is the people I work with every day,” he added. “My teams bring an unmatched level of cohesion, dedication, and professionalism to the Navy customer we support. Their commitment is why JRC is trusted to deliver excellence”.

Darrin Shaw's Family
Outside of work, Darrin enjoys spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, cheering them on at soccer, football, dance, and gymnastics events. An avid golfer, he enjoys playing regularly and participates in a Monday evening golf league with fellow JRC employees. He and his wife, Marcee, also enjoy taking spontaneous weekend trips, choosing destinations based on where they can travel on a whim, with recent adventures including a fall trip to Vermont to enjoy the changing leaves, as well as longer vacations such as an Alaskan cruise and visiting family in Greece.
