Posted June 02, 2022 (L TO R- Top Photo- Jeffrey Duncan (Vice President, Systems Engineering & Integration Division, Steven Van Dyk, Ph.D., SSP, and Tony Jimenez, JRC President & Chief Operating Officer) On 23 May 2022, JRC was formally recognized by Strategic Systems Programs (Responsible for the end-to-end effort of the Navy's Strategic Weapons Systems) for its support to the successful construction and testing of the Navy Strategic Weapon Systems (SWS) Ashore Facility at the Cape Canaveral Space Force Station in Cape Canaveral, Florida. The concept of the Strategic Weapons Systems Ashore Facility is to provide long-term shore-based testing capabilities to proof modernized submarine missile systems. The facility serves a vital role in replicating the D5 Strategic Weapon System onboard both the OHIO and COLUMBIA class ballistic missile submarines. This shore-based testing capability increases the Operational Availability of the Navy’s fleet. JRC is honored by SSP’s recognition acknowledging the expertise and exceptional service of its employees, contributing to SWS Ashore’s Full Operating Capability.
