JRC Awarded New Prime Contract Supporting Strategic Systems Programs, Missile Engineering and Test Instrumentation Branch
October 1, 2015: JRC is proud to announce the award of a new contract (N00030-16-C-0006) supporting Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) Missile Branch (SP27) and Flight Test Instrumentation Unit (SP2734). The contract Period of Performance extends to September 2020, if the Government exercises all options.
JRC provides test and evaluation, operations and programmatic support for the TRIDENT II (D5) Submarine Launched Ballistic Missile (SLBM) Weapon System. JRC also provides spectrum management of all radio frequency transmitters for flight test operations for SSP.
JRC’s duties include managing the Flight Test Working Group and missile flight special engineering test process. JRC assists SSP with communication with other test and evaluation stakeholders, and provides long-range planning for flight test ranges to ensure long range flight test capability. Managing all aspects of over 400 radio transmitters, JRC obtains permission from national spectrum authorities and international partner nations for SSP to operate worldwide, including gaining spectrum certification for new instrumentation. Mr. Clifford Smith serves as our Spectrum Manager for SSP, and Mr. Michael Kostiuk manages the overall flight test program support to SP27.
